The commercial vehicle industry is entering a decade where safety, operational efficiency and

Mr. Shashank Jangra, Head – Sales, Marketing & Business Development, ADR Axle India, the shift
towards electrification, intelligent technologies and higher vehicle performance will reshape the running gear segment, creating new opportunities for manufacturers focused on engineering excellence and long-term customer value.

Shashank believes commercial vehicle operators will increasingly prioritise lower cost per kilometre, higher uptime, enhanced safety and operational efficiency over the lowest purchase price. While electrification will continue to influence vehicle development, the industry will also witness wider adoption of AI-enabled telematics, predictive maintenance and connected vehicle technologies that provide real-time visibility into vehicle health, reduce downtime and improve fleet profitability.
He also emphasised that safety will remain the industry's highest priority. As better highways
enable higher average vehicle speeds, demand for advanced braking systems, stable running gear and intelligent safety technologies will grow significantly. The industry's focus, he noted, will move
beyond regulatory compliance towards preventing accidents and protecting lives through stronger collaboration between manufacturers, suppliers, fleet operators and regulators.
Engineering the Next Generation of Running Gear
ADR Axle India is aligning its 2030 strategy around delivering world-class axle and suspension
solutions that combine safety, durability and lower lifecycle costs. The company's product roadmap focuses on developing lighter, stronger and lowermaintenance running gear capable of supporting the additional weight of electric vehicle battery packs without compromising payload capacity
or reliability.
Beginning in 2027, ADR Axle India plans to introduce a new generation of lightweight products that improve payload efficiency while extending service intervals and reducing maintenance requirements.
These innovations are designed to maximise vehicle uptime and help fleet operators achieve a
lower cost per kilometre. "There can never be a compromise on braking performance because
every improvement in brake efficiency has the potential to save lives," he said.
